Sports & Activities
We encourage our students to broaden their horizons and engage in other non-
academic disciplines outside the classroom which we believe are fundamental to holistic
learning.
Athletics
Riverside Private School learners of all age groups participate in competitive inter-house and inter-schools athletics events at the beginning of the term where they represent their respective houses and school in numerous track and field disciplines.
Chess
Chess as a sporting discipline teaches patience, critical thinking, problem-solving and
reasoning. All the above-mentioned attributes help to equip learners with much-needed life skills. We offer chess as a non-promotional subject to learners from grades 1 – 7.
Netball
Riverside offers netball to girls from ages 13 – 17. As a newly-established sporting discipline at Riverside, netball offers endless possibilities for our girls to engage in enriching contact sports activities through their participation in well-established club and league tournaments throughout the year.
Other Sport Activities
We also encourage learners who have a keen interest in sporting disciplines such as soccer, hockey, swimming and karate to pursue their preferred discipline by engaging the numerous clubs that offer the disciplines mentioned above.
