Riverside Private School, formerly known as the Swakopmund School of Excellence, opened its doors to the public in January 2019 after being registered as a high school with the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture. This milestone allowed the school to continue the grade progression that had begun with its first intake of Grade 0 learners in 2011.

Since 2022, Riverside has offered a complete academic journey from Grade 0 through Grade 12. Today, the school boasts a growing enrolment supported by a dedicated and experienced team of teachers. Following the Namibian National Curriculum, derived from and moderated by Cambridge International Assessment Education, Riverside’s programme culminates in the Advanced Subsidiary (AS) level — a qualification recognised worldwide as a gateway to tertiary education.
